It’s finally time to go back home.
Well, even though I say I’m going back home, I’ll be back soon, so I don’t feel sentimental, but this time, too, my thoughts are different before and after I come.
Every time I stay in Vietnam, I’m stimulated and aware of new things, and I’m extremely tired (lol) and I make new encounters. This time, I talked to the Vietnamese president, Mr. Thanh, about future industry-academia collaboration. He gave me advice on ideas for collaboration with universities in Hanoi, ideas for attracting customers, and even about the current situation and future of Vietnam.
After all, connections are something you should have. Thank you, MIE-chan.
#Connection
It’s still a secret, but in the conversation, it seems that a certain Japanese service will be tested in Vietnam. It will definitely be a hit in the young country of Vietnam.
#What an amazing idea
And I want that service to be thoroughly Japanese quality. So, I was also asked to handle hair care products,
so although not directly, I introduced my connections.
I feel bad if I only receive things, so I’ve introduced another project in Japan as a souvenir.
I think that in relationships with people, it’s always necessary to have the mindset of give and take and trade-off. In Vietnam, it’s expected that people will do things for you.
I often feel a strong condescending attitude, as if they’re doing things for you.
They’re like, “Vietnamese people…”.
There are many times when I feel like it’s racism in a bad way and I don’t feel good.
In the end, it’s just people, so it doesn’t matter what country it is… I think, but I guess there are many people who want to maintain their superiority in this way.
Maybe there are people like that in Vietnam too…
There’s no point in complaining.
Well, unfortunately, I’m going to leave Hanoi soon, and I’m sad to say the least.
I was able to meet all of my company’s staff, but I wasn’t able to meet my friends and acquaintances this time. I’ll definitely see you next time. I plan to visit Hanoi in mid-August.
I’m sitting alone at table 2 at Ofukuro-tei, waiting for the airport taxi.
See you next time.
