定刻で成田空港JAL751便を発つ。
順調なフライト。
いつも通りなんとなくPC仕事を落ち着かせて、映画鑑賞の時間に入る。
やらなきゃいけない仕事もあるんだけど、ずっと仕事をするには、もう少し広いスペースがあると嬉しいので『次回からプレミアムエコノミーにしよう！』といつも思うのだが、いざチケット手配となると『どうせ移動するだけだからやっばりエコノミーで充分だな』となってしまう。
相変わらず貧乏性は治ってない。
観る映画はだいたい邦画で、イマイチのラインナップの時は過去の名作を観てみたりする。
今回は『室町無頼』『孤独のグルメ』の2本立て。
どちらも、見ごたえ充分で楽しませていただきました。
それだけ楽しめれば充分元をとったエコノミー席での楽しみ方でした。
そんなこんなで『これより着陸態勢に入ります』とアナウンスが入り次第、トイレを済ませて、自身も着陸態勢に入ります。
そして窓の外にはハノイのオレンジ色の灯火がポツポツ。
首都とは思えない明るさだが、これがハノイだ。
ハノイに戻ってきたな〜といつも感慨深い。
思えば10年前のハノイ赴任日。ハノイに着陸出来なかったのは、いまでも良くも悪くも結局は良い思い出だ。

着陸できずに上空旋回を続けたが、降りる事ができずに、燃料が尽きそうになる。
機長はダナン空港へ燃料補給のために機首を向けた。
ダナン空港へ一先ず無事に着陸し、給油を終え機長からのアナウンスも『いよいよハノイへ向かいます』と意気揚々なアナウンスに聞こえた。
いよいよ離陸のために滑走路に向かっている矢先に衝撃が！
そこからNOアナウンスで数時間沈黙。。
ようやくのアナウンスは運航中止だった。
飛行機から搭乗ゲートに出たときは、もう夜が明けていた。

空港内で待つのか。と思っていたが、まさかの街中のホテルへの移動であった。

結局、ハノイノイバイ空港21:30着予定だったが、ダナンの街中のホテルに翌朝6:00着となりました〜(続く)

JAL751 departs from Narita Airport on schedule.
The flight is going well.
As usual, I calm down my PC work and go to watch a movie.
I have some work to do, but it would be nice to have a little more space to work all the time, so I always think, “Next time, I’ll choose premium economy!”, but when it comes to arranging the tickets, I end up thinking, “I’m just going to move around anyway, so economy is good enough.”
As usual, I’m still a cheapskate.
I usually watch Japanese movies, and when the lineup is not that great, I watch old classics.
This time, I watched a double feature of “Muromachi Burai” and “Kodoku no Gurume.”
Both were well worth watching and I enjoyed them.
It was well worth the money to enjoy the economy class seat if I could enjoy it that much.
As soon as the announcement came that “We are now preparing to land,” I went to the bathroom and prepared to land myself.
And outside the window, the orange lights of Hanoi dot the sky.

It’s so bright that you wouldn’t think it’s the capital, but this is Hanoi.

I always feel nostalgic when I come back to Hanoi.

When I think back to the day I was assigned to Hanoi 10 years ago. I still remember not being able to land in Hanoi, for better or worse.

Unable to land, the plane continued circling in the air, but was unable to land and was running out of fuel.

The captain turned the nose of the plane to Da Nang Airport to refuel.

After landing safely at Da Nang Airport and refueling, the captain’s announcement sounded triumphant, saying, “We’re finally heading to Hanoi.”

Just as we were heading to the runway for takeoff, there was an impact!

Then there was silence for several hours with a “NO” announcement.

Then the announcement finally came that the flight was cancelled.
By the time I got off the plane at the boarding gate, dawn had already broken.

I thought I would just wait inside the airport, but I was actually taken to a hotel in the city.

In the end, I was scheduled to arrive at Hanoi Noi Bai Airport at 9:30pm, but ended up arriving at my hotel in Da Nang at 6am the next morning.
