シェービングに関しては高校生の時からカミソリで自身に顔を剃ってました。銭湯でも、１枚刃で自分の顔を剃っていたので、銭湯で馴染みの入れ墨オジサンたちに『お前はどこの床屋なんだ？』と良く話かけられてはいましたね。『すぐそこのラッキー理容館ですけど、僕はまだ高校生ですよ』っていう会話を何度もしていたのを思い出しました。

専門学校の授業では、なぜか女子とペアを組んでいたので、女子の顔そりからSTARTしたので女性と男性の肌に違いも、肌で感じていたせいか。レディースシェービングは、men’sとの全然違う感覚はY校時代から養われていた気がします。仕事に入ってからも、静岡店でレディース担当だったし、若い時から得意というか、先輩たちが敬遠していたのをいいことに女性を当たり前に担当させていただいておりました。

その経験もあり大阪帝国ホテル店長時代は１日８人をリミットとして
ブライダルシェービング、レディースシェービングで食い扶持をなんとかKEEPできました。ずっと担当させていただいたおかげです。

レディースシェービングといえば俺！といまでも思っていますが、近頃、オジサンになってきて需要が急下降です(-_-;)　オファー待ちです！　宜しくお願いいたします。

When it comes to shaving, I’ve been using a razor to shave my own face since high school. Even at public baths, I used to shave with a single-blade razor, and the tattooed older regulars would often ask me, “Which barbershop are you from?”
I’d reply, “I’m from Lucky Barber right nearby, but I’m still in high school,” and I remember having that conversation many times.
In vocational school, I somehow ended up paired with a female student during classes, so I started out shaving women’s faces. Maybe because of that, I could feel the difference in skin types between men and women. I think I developed a distinct feel for women’s shaving back in those days at Y School.
Even after joining the workforce, I was in charge of women’s shaving at the Shizuoka salon. From early on, I was comfortable with it—mainly because the senior barbers avoided it, which gave me the opportunity to take it on naturally.
Thanks to those experiences, during my time as manager at the Imperial Hotel Osaka branch, I managed to make ends meet with up to 8 bridal or women’s shaves a day. I’m truly grateful for having been entrusted with those services continuously.
Even now, I still think of myself as “The go-to guy for women’s shaving!” — although, to be honest, the demand has dropped sharply now that I’ve become more of an old guy (-_-;)

I believe shaving, which can even clean out clogged or darkened pores using a razor, is essentially on par with esthetics and makeup.
